Why you can trust Yiren
Coordinating care abroad means trusting people you've never met. Here's exactly how Yiren earns it — and how to judge any service like ours.
Coordinating treatment in another country means trusting people you've never met with the things that matter most — your medical records, your money, your time, often when you're already worried about your health. We don't expect you to take that on faith. Here is exactly how Yiren is built to deserve it, and the questions worth asking any service like ours before you commit.
We're independent — not owned by any hospital
Yiren isn't owned by, or tied to, any single hospital. That matters more than it sounds. A coordinator that belongs to a hospital has one real job: fill that hospital's beds. Ours is different — to match you to the provider that fits yourcondition, even when that means pointing you elsewhere.
We're also open about how we make money. Yiren earns a coordination fee and, where it applies, referral or travel commissions. Your all-in price is fixed and disclosed up front; we never mark up your medical care without telling you. If a commission ever applies to your case, you'll know before you decide.
We verify before we list — and we show our work
A hospital only appears on Yiren after our team has checked it: accreditation and licensing against official records, physician credentials in the relevant field, genuine depth in the speciality you need, and transparent written pricing. Nothing carries a "Verified" badge until we've confirmed it — and we show each hospital's grade and accreditations openly, so you can check them too.
(If you want the detail, we've written separately on how we choose the hospitals we work with.)
We never touch your treatment money
This is one of the clearest lines we draw. The hospital prices and bills your treatment directly to you — usually a deposit on admission and the balance at discharge. Our coordination fee is entirely separate, fixed, and agreed in writing before you commit. We never hold, route, or mark up treatment funds. If anyone in this industry asks you to wire your treatment money to them, that alone is reason to walk away.
(More on what your coordination fee covers — and what it doesn't.)
You always know who is responsible
From your first message to your follow-up back home, you have a named coordinator and a clear line of responsibility at every step — no anonymous inbox, no being passed around. If something needs sorting, you know exactly who to ask.
We're clear about what we are not
Yiren is a coordination and support service — not a hospital, doctor, or insurer. We don't diagnose, treat, or give medical advice, and we never will. Every clinical decision is made by licensed hospital physicians. What we handle is everything around your care: the language, the logistics, the paperwork, and staying beside you throughout.
Your records and privacy, on your terms
We collect only what we need to help you, store it securely, and process the health information you share on the basis of your explicit consent. It's shared only with the hospital involved in your care, you consent before we share anything, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. A named contact is always available for any concern.
(We go deeper in how we protect your medical records and privacy.)
How to judge any medical-travel service
You shouldn't have to take our word for it — so here's how to test any service, including us. Be wary of anyone who:
- guarantees a cure, or sells unproven "miracle" treatments — credible hospitals never guarantee outcomes;
- asks you to send treatment money to them or a middleman, instead of paying the hospital directly;
- won't put their fees in writing before you commit;
- can't give you a named, reachable person responsible for your case;
- can't show a hospital's accreditation, or marks providers "verified" without proof;
- pressures you to decide quickly.
If a service fails any of these, it's telling you something. We built Yiren to pass all of them.
See for yourself
Trust is something we'd rather show than claim. The best place to start is a free, no-obligation case review: tell us your situation, and judge us by how we handle it — the honesty of the answer, the clarity of the next steps, and whether we're willing to tell you when China isn't the right call.
