About this hospital
West China Hospital (Huaxi) of Sichuan University, founded in 1892 in Chengdu, is one of China's top-three hospitals and among the largest comprehensive hospitals in the world. It holds the most National Key Clinical Specialties of any Chinese hospital and an A++ national performance rating. Its Health Management Center performs around 180,000 checkups a year, and its International Medical Center offers English reception, VIP clinics and insurance coordination for overseas patients.
