Fuwai Hospital, in Beijing, is the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and the world's largest cardiovascular centre. Founded in 1956 and affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, it has ranked China's No.1 in cardiology for 14 consecutive years and performs one of the highest volumes of cardiac surgery in the world — coronary bypass, valve surgery and TAVR, arrhythmia ablation, complex congenital repair and aortic surgery.
